• On special nights — 23 Dec, 24 Dec and 31 Dec — the lights stay on until 06:00 the next morning; on 25 Dec and 30 Dec they go off around 04:00.
• The display runs until early 8th January 2026.

• Waterfront & Marina + Pier: for the sea-themed lights, reflections on the water, and installations like the “Celestial Path of Storms.”
• Major squares & “photo-point” installations (tree at Praça do Povo, 3D tree/ball at Praça Colombo, etc.) — perfect for photos or just soaking in the festive vibe.
• Walking loop between harbour → old town → gardens/hills for views — there are suggestions to take e.g. a cable-car up to a vantage point (on clear nights) so you see the city and harbour all aglow.
