Wear your Garmin next time you do your groceries or go for a walk with your dog. Your watch has a default goal of 7,500 steps per day*. What I was not aware of is that if you are wearing your Garmin watch and you don’t set for any particular workout, Garmin will by default measure all your steps.
Yesterday I ran errands which included going to the bank, a visit to the licensing department followed by groceries, etc… and late in the day surprise, surprise I had done a total of 9324 steps (7.41 Km) [I wasn’t looking for any Vitality points but I got 100 points in the process]. Next time you do your groceries or go for a walk with your dog, let Garmin record your steps.
*If you choose not to use the auto goal feature, you can disable it and set a personalized step goal on your Garmin Connect™ account (Activity Tracking Settings).
Below the steps recorded (by default) on chores I did yesterday. Cool👍
