The lively main strip, Avenida Tomás Cabreira, is lined with hotels, shops, restaurants, cafés, and pubs, creating a vibrant atmosphere both day and night. For something more scenic, the walk from Praia da Rocha to the Portimão Marina promenade is ideal for a leisurely outing, while the surrounding cliff paths lead to a collection of enchanting, hidden beaches.

Located in the municipality of Portimão along Portugal’s southern Algarve coast, Praia da Rocha is a popular resort destination just 3 km from the city centre. It is best known for its expansive sandy beach, dramatic honey-coloured cliffs, and energetic nightlife centred around Avenida Tomás Cabreira.

• Tartelete de amêndoa – rich, nutty, and slightly caramelised on top.
