Christmas Lights and Lisbon Delights. Lisbon sparkles all year round particularly over Christmas. You will burn some 400 calories on a brisk walk between Terreiro do Paço and Parque Eduardo VII. With Portuguese gastronomy at its best in the many promenade restaurants, pastry shops and cafés along the way the probability is high that you will end the walk with a net calorie gain. But hey, Christmas comes once a year so… enjoy the experience.
Begin your walk at 30-metre-tall Christmas tree in the riverside Terreiro do Paço, Visit the Christmas market in Rossio. On the north side of Rossio you will see the magnificent neoclassical façade of the National Theatre (Teatro Dona Maria II).
Continue along the Parisian-style boulevard Avenida da Liberdade and end your walk at Parque Eduardo VII where you will be welcomed by the Christmas market “Wonderland Lisboa”, the ice skate rink, a gigantic wheel, the Santa house, and many other attractions.
Enjoy the photos and Bom Natal 🤶🎅🤶🎅 e Feliz 2021!
Were you aware that Lisbon was so beautiful?
