Jacarandas shed their leaves mid to end of winter rather than in autumn. There is a huge jacaranda covering a portion of our roof. Once it rains and if not removed, the massive amount of leaves clog gutter drainage. I haven’t cleared leaves for a while and according to the weather bureau rain was forecast for today. The job had to be done and it took me 4 hours and 45 mins… It was good exercise!

Spring is in the air: the peach tree is blooming even though we are still in mid August.

Fait accompli – roof cleaned!
