Intro – World Chocolate Day Walk – 2025 July 6

World Chocolate Day is celebrated on the 7th July which in 2025 falls on a Monday. Most people work on Mondays so we celebrated a day earlier. We had a brisk walk followed by brunch and social. Most enjoyable. Thanks to all who participated. My hot chocolate and cream was very tasty and so was the chicken prego.

It was a cold morning (we are in winter) but what a beautiful sunny day. Solid morning walk with a steady heart rate, mostly cruising in endurance and moderate zones while covering a good 7.1 km distance. We have very fit people in our group👍👌👏👏😎

More exciting news: we now have our very own ‘Walk of Fame’ for anyone who has done a minimum on 90 Km on a single event, walk or hike anywhere in the world (for example the 200 km, sometimes 300 km Camino from Porto to Santiago). It is amazing that so many South Africans have done/ are doing these walks at home and in different parts of the world👏👏👏🌞😎🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️
