Intro – Bedfordview Walking or Rucking – 2025 March 9
In summary: 7 km, 9108 steps, 556 calories and 300 ‘Vitality Points’.👍 A glorious Autumn day. 18C and sunny. Thanks to all who joined and a warm welcome to first timers. Following the walk we had an enjoyable brunch and social. Thank you to Corne (Restaurant Manager) and to the waiters for the great service. We had more people than the number we had booked for and thank you to Mike (owner), Corne and staff for accommodating everyone. A special THANK YOU for the individual slips. Thank you Candee, for your assistance promoting our events. Congratulations to the super fit and super fast walkers Britt, Guida and Isabel👍👏🥇
It was great seeing Jo-Ann wearing ankle weights during her ruck yesterday. I was wearing a 4 kg weighted vest. Keep in mind that rucking/ yomping is a full body exercise.
During lunch I added about 745 calories (2 fried eggs, mushrooms, chips and 2 slices of toast with butter and jam). Because I was on a calorie surplus I went to gym afterwards – actually, we could have gone for another walk🙂

Ryan Nurseries and Fiddlewoods Restaurant – a Place to Visit and Enjoy
This is a beautiful nursery in the heart of Bedfordview – a reliable nursery with friendly, helpful staff. They have a blend of indigenous and fascinating plants very reasonably priced. At the nursery enjoy a meal at Fiddlewoods restaurant. The car park is very clean and safe. Ryan Nurseries has a 100 year old Bonsai tree on permanent display. Don’t miss it!
