Intro – Bedfordview Walking or Rucking – 2025 May 11
Sunday the 11th May was Mother’s Day. Trust that all Moms had a lovely day. Our walk: 7,51 km, 9904 steps, 630 calories.👍 A cool (11C), sunny day just made for an enjoyable walk with friends and meeting new friends.😎😎 Some ladies in our group are incredibly fit and very fast: Britt, Candee (Candice was recovery from a cold), Guida, Isabel and Nicole. Nicole left everyone in the dust. Well done to everyone👍👏🥇
Following the walk we had an enjoyable brunch and social. Thank you to Corne (Restaurant Manager) and to the waitresses at Café Barizsta for the great service. Thank you Candee, for your assistance promoting our events.
Sadly, Brian’s dog got loosened from his leash, ran across the street and got hit by a car. The good news is that even though he is bruised, no bones were broken and he is at home recovering🐕🦺👍👌

Vitality Points
I always try and get 300 Vitality points on these walks. Sadly I only remembered to turn my Garmin off midway through brunch so I got 0 (zero!) Vitality points for this walk👎

Ryan Nurseries and Café Barizsta – a Place to Visit and Enjoy
This is a beautiful nursery in the heart of Bedfordview – a reliable nursery with friendly, helpful staff. They have a blend of indigenous and fascinating plants very reasonably priced. At the nursery enjoy a meal at Café Barizsta. The car park is very clean and safe. Ryan Nurseries has a 100 year old Bonsai tree on permanent display. Don’t miss it!
