Intro – Jacaranda Walk Kensington – 2023 Nov 4
In our midst today we had the lovely company of Janine, a well known media personality. Hats off to Zita who completed her 200 Km (124 miles) walk from Porto (Portugal) to Santiago (Spain). Hats off also to Heidi who walked from southern France, across the Pyrenees to Spain and then all the way to Santiago. Because she was feeling super fit, Heidi after getting her ‘Camino’ Certificate decided not to stop in Santiago but to continue down to Fatima in Portugal… In 6 weeks Heidi walked a total distance of 1400 Km (870 miles). Congratulations to both Heidi and Zita👏👏👏. I am not the jealous type but I am a bit green with envy.
Thank you to Teslar for co-hosting with me. Thank you to everyone who participated on the walk and a special welcome to first timers. Thank you to everyone who contributed with all those amazing photos: Janine, Tony and Zita.
Our gratitude to Navin, to the Members of ‘Keep It Cklean‘ and to everyone else who regularly contribute to keeping our suburb clean👍👌🙏.
We did our 960 calories workout👍👌👏😎. Please do join us on upcoming Bedfordview Walks, Kensington walks as well as on our hikes at Klipriviersberg.

Worth Mentioning…
It is worth mentioning that:
- In these walks and hikes you meet friends and you make new ones.
- Kensington is a Buyer’s Paradise – large, affordable homes, good schools (private and public), the nearby shopping malls of Bedford Centre, Park Meadows and Eastgate, tree lined streets, friendly people, a lovely suburb. It is most enjoyable to walk, run and/ or cycle in many parts of Kensington.
As one walks through the suburb it is encouraging to see how individuals and companies are renovating their properties and in so doing, increasing the value of their properties as well as the value of adjacent properties👍👌👏. Conversely the owners who do not care to even paint their walls decrease the market value of all the properties in the street they are in👎.
