Intro – The Bedfordview Kensington Heritage Walk – 2024 Feb 25
We were a small group and able to walk at a faster pace today. To the delight of everyone the Jeppe Pipe Band were practicing at Jeppe High School for Boys (they will continue every Sunday until July). The walk was followed by a pleasant brunch and social at Fournos Bedfordview. I got my 300 Vitality points on today’s walk💪👍👌
Thanks to everyone who attended. A warm welcome to Dominique (bienvenue dans notre groupe Dominique) and welcome to Jo and Yogi. Great seeing Jo and Yogi again (6-7 years interlude?). Thank you to Paul for the amazing videoclip and to Sylvia and Tony for the photos. Apologies for the watermark – it shouldn’t appear on future images.

Worth Mentioning…
It is worth mentioning that:
- In these walks and hikes you meet friends and you make new ones.
- Kensington is a Buyer’s Paradise – large, affordable homes, good schools (private and public), the nearby shopping malls of Bedford Centre, Park Meadows and Eastgate, tree lined streets, friendly people, a lovely suburb. It is most enjoyable to walk, run and/ or cycle in many parts of Kensington.
As one walks through the suburb it is encouraging to see how individuals and companies are renovating their properties and in so doing, increasing the value of their properties as well as the value of adjacent properties👍👌👏. Conversely the owners who do not care to even paint their walls decrease the market value of all the properties in the street they are in👎.
