Intro – The Bedfordview Kensington Heritage Walk – 2023 July 30

Brrr… one of the coldest days in Johannesburg so far this winter -2 to 12C (28 to 54F). A number of courageous people braved the grey, windy day.

Thank you

Thanks to all who joined us and thank you to Sylvia for co-hosting. We did our 1100 calories workout👍👌👏😎. Please do join us on upcoming Kensington walks as well as on our hikes at Klipriviersberg.

I enjoyed the walk, the social and the brunch – trust me you cannot go wrong with a delicious cappuccino and a three egg omelette with cheddar cheese😋☕

Worth Mentioning…

It is worth mentioning that:

  1. In these walks and hikes you meet friends and you make new ones.
  2. Kensington is a Buyer’s Paradise – large, affordable homes, good schools (private and public), the nearby shopping malls of Bedford Centre, Park Meadows and Eastgate, tree lined streets, friendly people, a lovely suburb. It is most enjoyable to walk, run and/ or cycle in many parts of Kensington.

As one walks through the suburb it is encouraging to see how individuals and companies are renovating their properties and in so doing, increasing the value of their properties as well as the value of adjacent properties. Conversely the owners who do not care to even paint their walls decrease the market value of all the properties in the street they are in👎.
